Earlier, School Education Minister Lalchhandama Ralte launched two PM eVIDYA DTH TV Channels for Mizoram. The launching programme coincides with the launching of over 200 television channels exclusively for students by the Ministry of Education today. The central government has been making efforts to ensure that students across the country can avail the same education through the television channels under ‘One Class One TV channel’ programme. The state is going to have two channels, one channel dedicated to elementary level called ‘Zirna Kailawn or Learning Ladder’ and the second one for Secondary level called ‘Zirna Lamtluang or Learning Pathway’. Both the two educational channels - PM eVIDYA MZ128 and PM eVIDYA MZ129 will be telecasted through DTH TV as well as Youtube channels. Telecast of the two educational channels will be in the hands of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), which is appointed as the State Coordinating Agency.
