Police arrests four thieves
Mar 30, 2025Police personnel of EastAgartala Police Station arrested four thieves including one woman associated with a theft in the house of Narayan Chandra Paul at Shiv Nagar College road area on March 25th last.
Briefing the media persons, SP West Tripura Dr Kiran Kumar said they received a complaint from Narayan Chandra Paul regarding the theft at his house. Accordingly a special team was formed and after police personnel went to the spot of the theft for investigation. After going through the CCTV footage police identified several persons entering the house.
Immediately Police have activated their sources and arrested the person identified as Akash Dey the leader of the thieves. After interrogating Akash Dey revealed the names of his three sub-ordinates including one woman, who were also arrested by the police. The other arrested thieves have been identified as Sahil Sarkar, Krishna Nama and Lipi Begum. We have recovered 324 grams of stolen gold and Cash Rs 40,000 from their possession, said Dr Kiran Kumar.
