Various initiatives taken by govt to improve Housing Satisfaction Ratio of Central armed forces says, Union Minister Amit Shah


Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Government has taken various initiatives to improve the Housing Satisfaction Ratio of Central armed forces.

Laying the foundation stone for the Central Detective Training Institute and Bureau of Police Research and Development in the Bengaluru rural district today, December 31, the Home Minister informed that 31,000 houses are built, 17,000 are under construction and 15,000 are under approval. He added, it will improve the Housing Satisfaction Ratio to over 60 percent.

Mr. Shah also inaugurated the Housing and Administrative office of Indo-Tibetan Border Police.

The home Minister said, the introduction of the Ayushman health insurance scheme for the Central armed forces is providing health security to the personnel and their families.

Till date, 35 lakh Ayushman cards have been distributed and they have availed medical treatment worth over 20 crore rupees.

Praising the valour and courage of our armed forces working under rigorous working conditions, the Home Minister said that the Indo-Tibetan Border police personnel have earned the name of Himaveer from the public which is a recognition surpassing Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awards.

Explaining the crucial role played by the Bureau of Police Research and Development, BPR&D, Mr. Shah said that the police need to adapt to changing social scenarios and work out a strategy to take up new challenges.

He said, the police personnel working in different states need better communication and coordination with improved dialogue to deal with Naxalism, terrorism, narcotics, infiltration, and other inter-state law and order issues.
