CM Manik Saha pays tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on Balidan Diwas


Agartala, June 23: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha paid floral tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on the occasion of Balidan Diwas at the BJP state party office on Monday. The day marks the death anniversary of the nationalist leader, who laid down his life for the unity and integrity of India. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saha highlighted Dr. Mukherjee’s unparalleled contribution to the nation, describing him as a visionary leader whose ideals continue to guide and inspire generations.

“Dr. Mukherjee's vision of a united India and his firm belief that sacrifice is the highest form of devotion to the nation remind us of our duty to serve with selflessness and commitment,” the Chief Minister said. Party leaders, workers, and supporters also gathered to pay homage, recalling Dr. Mukherjee’s pivotal role in the country's political and ideological history, particularly his efforts to integrate Jammu and Kashmir fully with India. Balidan Diwas is observed every year to honor Dr. Mukherjee’s martyrdom and reaffirm the values he stood for.
