Assam Rifles organises weapon display to inspire NCC Cadets

In a bid to strengthen the bond between the Armed Forces and the youth, Assam Rifles organised an impressive weapon display for the cadets of the 13th Tripura Battalion NCC on Thursday. The event was held at the premises of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala as part of the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of the battalion.
The primary objective of the event was to enhance the cadets’ understanding of military equipment and operations, while encouraging them to consider a career in the defence services. The display featured a wide range of infantry weapons and tactical equipment currently in use by the Assam Rifles.
During the event, cadets were given in-depth briefings on the functionality and significance of each weapon system. They also witnessed live demonstrations, giving them valuable firsthand experience and a deeper insight into the operational capabilities of the armed forces.
A total of 150 NCC cadets participated in the event, showing great enthusiasm and curiosity. Their active engagement reflected a strong interest in national service and a growing awareness of the country’s defence preparedness.
This initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ continued efforts to promote youth development, national integration, and patriotic values. Such outreach programmes aim to bridge the gap between the military and civilian populations, especially the younger generation, who are seen as the future defenders of the nation.
Officials from both Assam Rifles and NCC expressed confidence that such initiatives would inspire many young minds to join the defence forces and serve the nation with pride and dedication.
