Tripura witnessing high growth of development with BJP Govt: Kiren Rijiju

The Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju, Tuesday claimed that the wheels of growth had started rolling with high speed with the formation of BJP government in Tripura.

Addressing a "Jana Vishwas Yatra" at Charilam in Sepahijala District on Tuesday, the union minister claimed that people of Tripura will see a new growth at its height if the BJP is voted to power yet again for the second term in the ensuing assembly election.

“The developmental activities in the once neglected North-east region of the country has been speeded up ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. Despite ruling the region for several years, the Congress leaders paid no attention to this region and hence there was no development,” he said.

He said, “Now, the northeast is getting due attention from the Central government under the leadership of PM Modi resulting in improvement in development works gaining momentum.”

Rijiju also slammed the CPI(M) on Tuesday and said, “The CPI(M) ruled the state of Tripura for a long term, but no development was seen during their tenure. It was after the BJP formed government in Tripura that Tripura is witnessing a new growth of development.”

Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, while addressing the rally on Tuesday said, “BJP is going to win big in the next Assembly Elections in Tripura. It is evident from the outpour of love & public support for BJP.”

He urged the people to keep distance from two parties - CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress and said, “People of West Bengal had seen how the CPI(M) unleashed terror tactics from Tiljala incident to Nandigram massacre and Netai killings and on the other the ‘Bhaipo’ has opened his shop in Tripura in view of the election.”
