BJP elects Kriti Singh Debbarmna as candidate for East Tripura LS seat

Announcing its second list of the Lok Sabha election candidates on Wednesday the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) elected Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma as the candidate for the East Tripura constituency.

Kriti Singh Debbarma happens to be an elder sister of TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman. She is presently married and settled in Jharkhand.

Kriti Singh Debbarma has been chosen to contest the ensuing Lok Sabha election from the BJP’s symbol. Kriti Sing replaced the 2019 Lok Sabha candidate Rebati Tripura.

The party earlier elected former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as party’s candidate to contest from the West Tripura constituency replacing Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik.
