Mar 23, 2025
The National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) wing of the National Health Mission (NHM), in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Tripura State Branch, organized a comprehensive training program for Community Health Officers (CHOs) of West Tripura.
The event took place at Hall-1, Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, at 11:30 AM, and brought together healthcare professionals, dental experts, and field-level officers dedicated to promoting oral hygiene and preventive dental care across the region.
The training aimed to enhance the knowledge and skill set of CHOs in recognizing, managing, and preventing common oral health issues at the community level. It also focused on integrating oral health awareness into primary healthcare delivery and empowering CHOs to become ambassadors of oral health in rural and underserved populations.
World Oral Health Day is observed globally every year to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and its impact on overall health. Through this initiative, NHM Tripura and IDA reinforced their commitment to strengthening grassroots oral health services and spreading the message of “healthy mouth, healthy body.”
