Department of Youth Affairs and Sports organizes workshop titled “Drug Free Tripura”
Nov 11, 2022Agartala: Nov 11: Today a special workshop titled "Drug Free Tripura" organized by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Tripura at the conference hall of the West Tripura District Magistrate's office. Speaking on the workshop West Tripura Zilla Parishad President Antara Sarkar Dev said addiction is poisoning the youths. A large section of the youth is facing great losses to themselves and the society under the shadow of this deadly addiction.
Although various initiatives have been taken by the government to prevent drug addiction, a section of youth cannot be freed from the shadow of addiction. The government is committed to fight against drug addiction, and the administration is constantly campaigning against drug addiction. She further said several clubs - social voluntary organizations are continuing various activities with the intention of making the society free from addiction, yet the civilized society is worried about the increase of addiction, those who think about the future are worried.
So we all have to come forward to save the students and youth from the grip of addiction. Today's workshop was attended among others by West Tripura Zilla Parishad President Antara Sarkar Dev, Youth Affairs and Sports Department Director Subikash Debbarma, West Tripura Zilla Parishad other members/Chairman/Vice-Chairman of various Panchayat Samiti/Collective Development Officer of various blocks.
