Ishan Bhatnagar, Tanisha Crasto lose in French Open mixed doubles


Web Desk : In the French Open Badminton, India did not start at a good note as the Indian pair of Ishan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto lost to Japanese pair of Naru Shinoya and Kyohei Yamashita 13-21, 16-21 in the mixed doubles at Paris today. In the Women's doubles, Treesa Jolly and Gayathri Gopichand also lost to Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai of Thailand 21-23, 20-22.

In the Men's doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on pair of Christo Popov Toma Junior Popov. The match will start at 7.20 PM IST. In the Women's Singles, Saina Nehwal will clash with Yvonee Li of Germany. The match is scheduled to begin at 9.50 pm IST.

Indian shuttlers Lakshay Sen and Kidambi Srikanth to clash in the men's singles opening round match in Paris tomorrow. The top two Indians in world ranking at 8th and 11th respectively will clash for the second time in their career. Two other Indian Players Sameer Verma will meet Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia and HS Prannoy will take on Liew Daren of Malaysia in their first-round matches tomorrow.
