There will be tight security during Durga Puja
Sep 29, 2022This year 2506 Durga Pujas will be held across the state. Out of this, 979 pujas will be held in urban areas and 1,527 in rural areas. 436 Pujas will be held in Agartala Pur Nigam area. Police, TSR, SP have been deployed across the state to ensure smooth and peaceful completion of Sharad Utsav.
CRPF, BSF and RPF forces will also be there. AIG Law and Order Jyotisman Roy Chowdhury told a press conference at the state police headquarters on Thursday. He highlighted the anti-drug campaign in the last one month. 8,630 kg of ganja, 167 grams of heroin, 8946 bottles of cough syrup, Ya Pathabe number 49,824, were seized. 51 cases have been received and 72 people have been arrested. 99 CC cameras have been installed. An additional thirty cars have been provided for the puja. He said that three cases have been registered so far in cases related to subscription.
