CM Dr. Manik Saha meets Union Health Minister virtually; emphasis on setting up of Critical Care Blocks in different District Hospitals of the state


The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya chaired a high level meeting with the Chief Ministers of different states via video conferencing on Wednesday, where the Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha laid emphasis on setting up critical care blocks in different district hospitals in the state.

National Health Mission, Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, allotted funds for different states under the 15th Finance Commission, Ayushman Bharat scheme, progress of different states in regard with providing precaution doses in case Covid-19 vaccination were among other issues for discussions on Wednesday.

Saha on Wednesday sought the intervention of the Centre in setting up of Critical Care Blocks in different District Hospitals of the state. Besides, the Chief Minister also urged the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare to increase the fund allotted under 15th Finance Commission for construction of Pucca building for those health sub centers in the state which do not have Pucca buildings.

Apart from that, the Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare about different developmental schemes implemented in the state in the public health sector.

The Chief Minister said, according to the SC list, 95% families in the state have been brought under Ayushman Bharat scheme so far. The matter of bringing the rest 5% beneficiary families of Antyodaya Ann Yojana under Ayushman Bharat scheme was discussed with great importance.
