Home Minister Amit Shah addresses rally at Dibrugarh


Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah said that the North East has achieved tremendous progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a rally at Dibrugarh in Assam today, the Home Minister said that AFSPA has been removed from 70 percent of areas in Assam. He said that several militant groups have signed peace treaties with the government of the state. He said that in recently concluded assembly polls in 3 North Eastern states, BJP retained to power with the people's mandate.

 He criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for running false narratives against India abroad. Mr. Shah said that Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time in 2024.  He said that Prime Minister will witness Bihu's performance in Guwahati on 14th of this month along with inaugurating several projects including AIIMS. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, state BJP President Bhabesh Kalita were also present in the meeting.
