CM Dr. Manik Saha inspects ongoing Township Project work in Agartala


Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday visited the sites of ongoing construction works of the government under Light House and Township project work here at Agartala and instructed the officials to expedite the project works.

The project works are being managed by the Tripura Urban and Planning Development Authority (TUDA). CM Dr. Ssha also directed the officials to ensure timely completion of the works.

Dr. Saha visited various locations in Agartala, including Matangini Pritilata Hall, Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, Government Music and Art College, TUDA Township projects in Kunjaban and Kaman Chowmuhani, the Multilevel car parking and commercial complex at Old Moto Stand, and the Light House Project at Akhaura Road.

Speaking to reporters after the visit, the Chief Minister said that the main purpose of his visit was to see the condition of various government buildings located in Agartala city.

Construction of flats under TUDA Township project in Kaman Chowmuhni and adjacent to Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Kunjaban is going on at a fast pace, he said, adding that all the flats under construction in Kaman Chowmuhani have been booked and 60 percent of the flats under construction in Kunjaban have been booked. The construction of flats in these two places under the township project will be very beneficial for the people of Agartala, he told reporters.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that the construction of flats under Prime Minister's Dream Light House Project is also going on at a fast pace and the construction company is working with the target of handing over the flats to the owners by the end of April 2024.
