BJP running ‘double-loot’ government in the ‘double-engine’ govt: Yechury
Feb 09, 2023The CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, Thursday slammed the BJP government in Tripura and said, “The BJP is running a double-loot government in the name of a double-engine government in Tripura.”
“The 25 years rule of the Left front government in Tripura brought numerous developments to the state with the welfare schemes for the poor section of people. But the BJP in the last five years of their government in Tripura brought disaster in the name of religion, caste and creed,” he said.
Yechury was addressing a party rally at Udaipur in Gomati district of the state. He said, “The Left-Congress has come together to fight against the divisive forces and unseat the BJP from power,”
Clarifying the seat sharing tactics of the Left-Congress, Yechury on Thursday said, “This is to prevent the anti-people, corrupt and fascistic government of the BJP.”
