Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday chaired a review meeting to check the status of implementation of Dharti Aaba-Janjatiya Gram Utkash Abhiyan (DA-JGUA).
The review meeting was held in the Conference Hall of the Office of District Magistrate in Sepahijala district. DM of Sepahijala district, District Council Chairperson, MLAs, public representatives, and senior administrative officials joined the meeting.
The review session focused on assessing the outreach efforts, addressing grassroots-level issues, and strengthening coordination between different government departments to ensure the success of the campaign in the region.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that this holistic and inclusive approach by the government reflects its commitment to uplift the socio-economic standards of Tripura’s tribal communities and promote sustainable development across rural tribal belts.
In a significant step toward addressing the fundamental rights, daily challenges, and economic empowerment of the tribal population in Tripura, the state government has launched the DA-JGUA from June 15 to June 30.
“The campaign aims to establish a direct connection between the administration and the indigenous communities residing in remote areas. Through this initiative, awareness camps are being organized across various tribal-dominated villages to inform citizens of government welfare schemes, entitlements, and development plans,” the minister said.
