In Tennis, India's Rohan Bopanna and his partner Matthew Ebden have advanced to the Men's Doubles final of the Australian Open. The second-seed duo defeated the unseeded Chinese-Czech pair of Zhang Zhizhen and Tomas Machac 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 in the semifinal at the Rod Laver Arena.
It comes a day after Indian tennis sensation Bopanna and Australia's Ebden were assured of the number 1 position in Men's Doubles ranking following the pair's victory in the quarter-final. It will make Bopanna the oldest player to hold the top position at the age of 43.
