Merging of CPI-M and Congress would ease BJP gain ground: CM Dr. Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Wednesday reacted on the ‘joint initiative’ of both the CPI-M and the Congress party to oust BJP from power and said, “The more CPI-M and the Congress comes closer to each other, more chances would be opened for the BJP to gain the ground.”

“The joint initiative of the Left and the Congress has eased the job of the BJP for the ensuing election,” he told reporters on Wednesday.

He said, “The Congress and the CPI-M has done the work of letting the people know about their ideology and strategic police for the poll. Now, we don’t have to do anything more to let people of this state know about their ideology.”

The Chief Minister also asserted that it is certain now that people of Tripura would never vote for them. “We all know what happened in West Bengal. Similar will be the consequences here in the state. Their understanding is not news. Earlier it was tacit now public,” said Dr Saha.
