CM Dr. Manik Saha felicitates Padma awardees, personalities mentioned in Mann Ki Baat


Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday joined the special broadcast of the 100th episode of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat here at Agartala Raj Bhavan and felicitated the Padma awardees and the persons mentioned in the last episodes of Mann Ki Baat by the prime minister.

The Doordarshan Kendra Agartala jointly with the AIR, Press Information Bureau and the Central Bureau of Communication has organised the special broadcast event to commemorate the 100th episode of the Mann Ki Baat.

Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya was present as the Chief Guest. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Sukla Charan Noatia, Deputy Speaker of the state legislative assembly Ramprasad Paul and high ranking officials among others were present in the function.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister hailed PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat as an innovative effort in highlighting the common people’s work and thoughts in building the nation. He said that many times PM Modi has presented various issues of the state in front of the countrymen through his Man Ki Baat which touched 100th today.

“It is a matter of pride for the state. Not only that, through Man Ki Baat, the Prime Minister has presented the entire country to us. The way the Prime Minister has connected with people through Maan Ki Baat is truly remarkable,” Dr. Saha said, adding that the people of this nation eagerly wait to listen to this program which is aired on the last Sunday of every month.

The Head of Office of DDK, Agartala V. Dinesh Kumar accompanied by the Head of Programme Alpana Das, producers of the office of DD Agartala Kendra and other staff were present in the programme as the hosting officials. 

Padma awardee Deepa Karmakar and Bikram Bahadur Jamatia were felicitated today at Raj Bhavan on the occasion, while seven persons whose names were mentioned in the last episodes of PM Modi’s Maan Ki Baat were felicitated. They include – Gautam Das, Bikramjit Chakma, Narayan Das, Buddhrani Debbarma, Shimul Das, Sushil Roy and Brajendra Dutta.
