Minister Sudhangshu Das attends Voluntary Blood Donation Camp
Mega blood donation camp organised by Lions Club of Agartala Anish in Collaboration with G.S. Fitness Platinum
Jun 22, 2025In a noble initiative aimed at saving lives and promoting social responsibility, the Lions Club of Agartala Anish, in collaboration with G.S. Fitness Platinum, organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp on Sunday in Agartala.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury stated, "Blood donation is one of the greatest acts of humanity. It is not only a life-saving deed but also a reflection of our commitment to society. Today’s event is a testimony to how community organisations and private institutions can come together for a noble cause."
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the donors who came forward and generously contributed to the cause. He also appealed to other social organisations and private institutions to actively participate in such humanitarian initiatives on a regular basis.
"I express my deepest thanks to each and every blood donor who made today’s camp a success. Your contribution will inspire others to come forward and donate blood, potentially saving countless lives," Mr Chowdhury added.
Events like these not only address the critical demand for blood in hospitals but also spread awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation in building a healthier, more compassionate society.
