Lal Bahadur Byamagar Club hosts Khutipuja Ceremony Ahead of Durga Puja

Agartala, July 18: With Durga Puja preparations gaining momentum across the state, one of Agartala’s prominent traditional clubs, Lal Bahadur Byamagar, marked the beginning of its festive journey with the ceremonial Khutipuja on Friday. The club also announced its theme for this year’s celebrations "Boshoti" which translates to “Settlement” or “Habitat.”
The ceremony was graced by several notable personalities, including Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, along with eminent journalist Pranab Sarkar. Club officials, local residents, and cultural enthusiasts gathered to witness the traditional ritual that symbolically marks the foundation of the Puja preparations.
Speaking at the event, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee praised the club’s consistent efforts in celebrating Durga Puja with grandeur and social relevance. He emphasized the importance of preserving Bengal’s cultural traditions while embracing contemporary themes that connect with the community. The theme "Boshoti" is expected to highlight the essence of community living, social bonds, and the idea of belonging elements that resonate deeply with the spirit of Durga Puja.
