Kumarghat rape case: Left Front student organization stages protest

The recent two gang-rape incidents in the state have made the situation increasingly alarming. The accused are beyond the reach of the police. So this time the opposition has become active and started complaining about the weakness of the government and the police. And opposition political parties also alleged that the minister's son was directly involved in the Kumarghat gang-rape incident.

Since those incidents are beyond the reach of the police, the anger is spreading in Kumarghat and Kalyanpur in Agartala. On Thursday morning, left student organization SFI took part in the protest. On this day, the SFI protested in front of the state police headquarters. SFI state secretary Sandeepan Dev criticized the government and said that there has been no rule of law in the state in the last four and a half years, reign of the Jungle is underway. Because every day students, minors, young women, women are being raped in the state.

Directly those close to the government and the leaders of the ruling party have indulged in these murders and rapes. In other words, the BJP government has become a source of violence against women in this state, so today the SFI has come to the police to demand that the police stand straight back to establish the rule of law. In other words, the protest program has been taken for the police to come back to their senses, he said.

SFI state president Soleman Ali, who was present at the protest program, said that the deputy chief and BJP party goons were involved in the gang-rape incident in Kalyanpur. On the other hand, the minister's son is involved in the gang rape of Kumarghat. He said that the movement will continue until they are arrested by the police. After a long protest on this day, the police administration arrested them and took them to AD Nagar Police Complex.
