Education can bring change to world – CM Dr Manik Saha attends NIT’s 16th convocation


Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday attended the 16th convocation of NIT-Agartala here at Jirania and said that the government is committed to develop Tripura as an education hub in the North East region of the country.

He said, “Government is working diligently to boost the education sector of the state moving in line with the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who thrives to bring change to the world through education.”

“Our aim is not only to provide education, but to participate in determining the destiny of the country. The state government has taken initiatives to develop Tripura as an educational hub within the North Eastern region,” he said to underline the achievements of the government in the education sector.

He said, “The New Education Policy 2020 has been incorporated into the education system, where students will be able to compete in the world without forgetting their culture.”

“Government is keen to take initiatives such as creating infrastructure, taking collaborative initiatives, working together with technical colleges in the state,” he said, adding that the Prime Minister's 'Skill India' and Atal Innovation Mission also emphasized the innovative talent of the present era.

He said, “Inspired by these initiatives at the national level, we can see NIT Agartala as a strong contender in the education sector of the state.”
