BJP to retain to power without forging new alliance: CM Dr. Manik Saha

Day after the end of the crucial general election to the 60-assembly constituencies of Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday claimed that the BJP will retain to power without forging any new alliance.

Addressing a press conference here at the civil secretariat, Dr. Saha exuded confidence that the BJP will perform better than what it did in the last elections.

“The party needs no help from TIPRA Motha or any other party as the BJP alone will win absolute majority in the 60-member Assembly. I do believe that the party will win more seats this time,” he claimed, adding that for the first time in the history of Tripura, people witnessed violence- and malpractice-free elections.

Taking a jibe at the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party, Dr. Saha alleged, “The CPI(M) and the Congress party tried to create trouble in some parts of the state on the day of polling, but BJP leaders and workers, however showed patience and peacefully handled the situation.”
