Over 200 voters join BJP in Boxanagar ahead of bye-elections

At a time when the opposition CPI-M party is busy in last minute preparations by intensifying their campaign in Boxanagar assembly constituency ahead of the bye-elections scheduled to be held on September 5 next, the ruling BJP is gaining the ground with a larger section of voters from the opposition bastion joining BJP.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday welcomed over 200 voters of different opposition parties ahead of the election at Boxanagar and expressed his confident of sweeping the bye-elections in both the Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituency.

He said that the voters of both the constituency are ready to reject the oppositions, especially the CPI-M in this upcoming bye-elections. As a large number of voters are willingly joining the BJP party, it is a clear indication that the people of Boxanagar will no longer support the ‘cheap’ politics of the Communist party, which misruled for the last 35 years in Tripura.

“They are now ready to bloom Lotus in the bye-election scheduled on Sept 5,” he claimed, adding that the BJP always believes in "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas", while CPIM has consistently played politics of divide and rule.

On the other hand, while intensifying the party’s campaign in Dhanpur assembly constituency on Monday, the former Chief Minister and presently the Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar deb accompanied by the Union Minister of State for SJ&E Pratima Bhoumik and Party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee addressed a large gathering.
