CM laucnhes state-based intensified Mission Indradhanush 4.0


Agartala, Feb 08: Taking a cue from the recent successful open heart and other complex surgeries in AGMC and GBP Hospital, the Chief Minister Biplab KumarDeb on Tuesday reiterated that government is working on priority basis to render quality health care facilities to the people of the state and cut down the trend of moving abroad for better treatment.

Deb on Tuesday launched the state and district based intensified Mission Indradhanush 4.0 programme at Agartala East Jogendranagar area.This special state-wide program has been adopted under the Mission Indradhanush Project to bring all pregnant women and children under essential immunization to protect them from various diseases. The Chief Minister officially vaccinated two children and one pregnant woman during the launching programme on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that in the past, GBP Hospital did not have proper infrastructure to provide improved health services, but at present, GBP Hospital is achieving a milestone on complex surgeries due to the development of advanced infrastructure.

Apart from this, the cluster plan is being successfully implemented to build a suitable infrastructure so that the people of the state do not have to rush abroad for complex diseases including treatment of kidney diseases. Responding to the goodwill and call of the state government, health workers, starting from various specialist doctors of Tripura working abroad, are heading to the state, Deb said.
