AR, DRI seizes heroine worth Rs 22.73 Cr


In a major drug haul Assam Rifles, in coordination with Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), carried out a joint operation, resulting in recovery of heroine worth Rs 22.73 crore from Kabuganj area, Cachar district in Assam.

Acting on credible intelligence the operation commenced in the early hours of Tuesday which involved a high speed chase of a vehicle which was carrying 280 soap cases of heroin weighing 3.24 Kilograms.

This operation in Cachar district, Assam, comes at a time when Manipur remains on high alert due to sustained unrest and violent disruptions caused by extremist factions.

Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its commitment to combat narco-terrorism, and work in close synergy with intelligence and enforcement agencies to safeguard the future of the youth.
