Domestic benchmark equity indices displayed a positive momentum on Friday. Both the indices ended with gains of over 0.9 percent, supported by rally in blue-chip stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 759 points, or 0.96 percent, to close at 79,803, and the NSE Nifty50 rose 217 points, or 0.91 percent, to settle at 24,131. The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange also logged gains. The Mid-Cap index ended 0.31 percent up, and the Small-Cap index gained over 0.7 percent.
