Tripura Govt announces festival grant for 197176 employees
Sep 21, 2023Ahead of the festive season, the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura hiked Festival Grant by Rs. 300 for the 197176 employees in the state.
Addressing a press conference here in the conference hall of the secretariat, the finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, “The festival grant of DRW employees and pensioners approved by the finance department including Group-C, Group-D employees was Rs. 1,500 during the financial year of 2022-23, which is now hiked to Rs. 1800.”
Besides, Finance Department approved part time workers, contract workers, casual workers, Anganwadi workers, helpers, home guards and SPO jawans, who received festival grant of Rs.1700 in the financial year 2022-23, will now receive Rs. 2000 with the hike in financial grant, he told reporters.
He however said that the festival advance for government employees of various categories including group-A, group-B, group-C, group-D of the state government has remained unchanged and they will continue to receive Rs. 20,000.
Finance Secretary Apoorba Roy and Additional Secretary Akinchan Sarkar were present in the press conference.
