BCCI declares team India squad for ODI World Cup 2023


The team India for the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 has been announced by the BCCI with a strong batting line-up with the likely leading order to have Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill. Hard hitter hitman Rohit Sharma will lead the team India, with all rounder Hardik Pandya as his deputy for the marquee quadrilateral event. Supporting the leading batting order would be players like Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul to be at the middle order. The selection panel led by Ajit Agarkar has left out Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna, who were part of the Asia Cup.

India has picked seven batters, four bowlers and four all-rounders for ODI World Cup. The list of the players in the squad includes Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya (Vice-captain), Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav.
