External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar says, India and Maldives together have responsibility for regional peace & security
Jan 19, 2023External Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar has underlined the strong partnership India has with Maldives and said that the two countries together have responsibility for peace and security in the region. Dr. Jaishankar is on a three-day visit to Maldives and Sri Lanka. The Minister called on Maldives President Ibrahim Solih and held discussions with his Maldives counterpart Abdulla Shahid. The two sides signed and exchanged Memoranda of understanding.
External Affairs Mininster Dr. Jaishankar will be reaching Colombo this afternoon. During his visit to Sri Lanka he will meet the Sri Lankan leadership and hold discussions with Foreign Minister Ali Sabry on relations between the two countries and steps to strengthen it in all spheres.
