Police arrests five drug peddlers
Feb 25, 2025Tripura Police arrested 4 drug peddlers and seized 210 containers of heroin, Rs 5,000 cash and one bike from different areas of the city on Monday.
The police stated that they received a crucial tip-off regarding drug peddlers, on the basis of the tip-off police personnel from East Agartala police station conducted and operaion. During the operation they arrested four drug peddlers from different and seized 210 containers of heroin from their possession worth Rs around one lakh.
After the preliminary investigation we have gathered several information from them. We will continue these operations in the near future, the police stated.
In a Separate operation police personnel from AD Nagar police station on Tuesday arrested one drug peddler from Camper Bazar, Gazaria and seized several containers containing brown sugar and Eskuf Syrup bottles. The estimated value of the confiscated brown sugar and and Eskuf Syrup in the illicit market amounts to approximately Rs 1 lakh, said police.
The police stated that, based on specific information police personnel from AD Nagar police station raided the house of Biplab Dey. During the raid police officials found several containers containing brown sugar and Eskuf Syrup bottles from the house of Biplab Dey. Later police arrested accused Biplab Dey for his involvement with drug peddling.
