Tripura Govt signs 8 MoUs worth Rs. 312.38 Cr in North-East Global Investors Summit


Agartala, May 02: With the participation of as many as 141 investors in the North-East Global Investors Summit, the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura signed at least eight Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) worth Rs. 312.38 crore in different sectors. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday said that the government has signed the MoUs in different sectors including healthcare, bamboo, tourism, rubber, food, milk and agro processing.

Addressing a press conference at Prajna Bhawan in Agartala the Chief Minister said that North-East Global Investors Summit held on Tuesday, where the MoUs were signed with the investors. He said that the investors have also expressed interest in setting up a medical university in Tripura ADC areas.

“In view of the strengthening connectivity with the Bangladesh and South East Asia, Tripura will emerge as the gateway of trade in the Northeast region, where adequate scope of employment will be created in the state in future,” he said, adding that the government is providing different benefits including subsidies to procurement, power, industrial promotion, employment cost, secondary raw materials and others to attract investors.
