Tripura Shantiniketan Medical College awarded by Indian book of records

In a significant achievement, Tripura Shantiniketan Medical College has been awarded by Indian book of records for Maximum State- Wide enrollment in an inaugural academic session of a medical college.
In this regard a program was organised by the Tripura Shantiniketan Medical College on Saturday at college premises.
District Magistrate of West Tripura Dr. Vishal Kumar, Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner, Agartala Arif Mohammad and others were also present. This achievement is considered a significant milestone for the institution, its students and the entire healthcare education sector of the state.
The grand announcement took place at a special event on the college premises on Saturday. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including renowned physician Dr. Yash Gautam, representing India Book of Records, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Tripura, Arif Mohammad, Sougata Pit, professors, students and other eminent personalities. On this occasion, India Book of Records presented a special certificate and memento to the college authorities in recognition of their achievement.
Tripura Santiniketan Medical College began its first academic session in 2024 with the goal of providing world-class medical education to students of the state. Right from the first year, the college witnessed an overwhelming number of admissions from across various states, making it an exceptional case among newly established medical colleges in India.
Dr. Malay Pit, President of the College, expressed his pride, saying, "This record is not just an achievement for our college but a moment of glory for all of Tripura.
