Union Minister Bhagwanth Khuba visits Gomati Dist; reviews central schemes


Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, and New and Renewable Energy Bhagwanth Khuba on Monday visited the Gomati district of Tripura and chaired a review meeting with the concerned officials on various flagship programmes of the state and the Centre in the conference hall of Gomati Zilla parishad.

The Union Minister reviewed the progress in enhancing health, nutrition, education, sanitation, financial inclusion, and infrastructure as part of the program for developing aspirational districts. The District Magistrate Taritkanti Chakma presented the overall development of the district through PowerPoint presentation.

“Implementation of various projects of the Central Government should be completed in due time,” Khuba emphasized on bringing the scope of government projects to the masses during the meeting on Monday.

He also visited the farm of a PM KUSUM beneficiary in the district and said, “PM KUSUM is transforming the lives of farmers in Gomati District. I was truly impressed by the progress he has made since joining the scheme.”

“PM KUSUM has provided the beneficiary with the financial and technical support he needed to install a solar irrigation system, which has helped him to reduce his costs and increase his yields,” he said.

He also visited the Health and Wellness Center in Jamjuri Gram Panchayat, residence of PM Awas Yojna beneficiary Savita Das in Matabari block and generic medicine counter of Gomati District Hospital.
