Tripura: JP Nadda announces two welfare schemes for girls

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday announced two new schemes for girls, the Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana in Tripura.
Addressing in a mass gathering at Swami Vivekanand Ground for the second anniversary celebrations of the ‘BJP 2.0 government’ in Tripura, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jagat Prakash Nadda announced these two new schemes of the Tripura government. He said under the Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana, if a girl child is born in a family that is below the poverty line, the state government will deposit 50,000 rupees in her name in the form of a bond. After the girl attains the age of 18 years, she will get a total of 10 lakh rupees, which can be utilised for her education and other purposes.
The second scheme targeted toward female students is Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana. This scheme entails that 140 meritorious girl students appearing for Tripura board, CBSE & ICSE exams will be given a scooty. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jagat Prakash Nadda said both these schemes have been conceptualised by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jagat Prakash Nadda took a dig at the CPI(M) party in Tripura and alleged that people of Tripura had witnessed murder, violence and anti-social activities during the last 35 years rule of the Communist party in the state. No state will be developed if there is an atmosphere of violence, like that of the communist party which created an unhealthy atmosphere in the state during their rule. Situation has changed now with the BJP assuming power, he added.
