Bangladesh special force held drug peddler with 2 kg heroine from close to Indian border


In Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday night arrested  a top-listed drug peddler with two kilograms of heroin close to the Indian border in Rajshahi district.

According to reports, in the past six months, Bangladesh law enforcement agencies have seized drugs on more than ten occasions, closer to the Indian border in Rajshahi district. Rajshahi District of Bangladesh has a river border with the Indian state of West Bengal near Murshidabad.

In an anti-crime drive, RAB arrested Abdul Halim alias Dalim of Diar Manikchalk village under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force of Bangladesh conducted a raid at Dalim house around 4:30 pm and nabbed him. The team recovered the heroin from the house.
