Minister Ratan Lal Nath labels Congress, CPI(M) as sinking ship

Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday labelled the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party as ‘sinking ships’ and said that the candidates of the opposition will lose their security deposit after the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.

Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday joined the motor-bike rally and moved across various parts of the Mohanpur subdivision.

“Candidates of both the CPI(M) and Congress will lose their security deposit in both the Lok Sabha seats here and will have no sign of themselves in the coming Assembly polls,” he said, claiming that people from the sinking ship are joining the BJP and TIPRA Motha party.

He said, “Leave Left-Congress forum and join BJP’s mission of Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura. I doubt whether a few of the MLAs of the Congress will remain in the party, while the CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Choudhury who was recently made the Leader of Opposition would not continue to hold the post after the elections.”
