CM Dr. Manik Saha lays foundation stone for 51 Shakti Peetha Park in Udaipur

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the much-anticipated 51 Shakti Peetha Park in Banduar, Udaipur, located in the Gomati district. The park is being developed near the revered Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the holiest Shakti Peethas in the country.

As part of the ceremony, the Chief Minister also unveiled the new logo of Tripura Tourism, marking a significant step in the state’s ongoing efforts to promote its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.

The project, estimated at a cost of Rs. 97.70 crore, aims to transform the region into a world-class spiritual and cultural tourism destination within the next 15 months. The park will feature replicas of all 51 Shakti Peethas, along with several unique attractions including the world’s largest Nataraj statue and Tripura’s first-ever glass skywalk bridge. Other modern tourist amenities are also planned to enhance the visitor experience.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, “This park will not only honor the spiritual significance of the Shakti Peethas but will also help fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of developing at least one world-class tourist destination in every state.”

The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by several key dignitaries, including Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, and senior government officials.

The 51 Shakti Peetha Park is expected to significantly boost religious tourism in the state, generate local employment, and put Tripura firmly on the national and international tourism map.
