1 dies, 7 critically injured as bus carrying Tripura job aspirants to Guwahati skidded off in Assam
May 02, 2024Tripura youth died and seven others critically injured as bus boarding candidates for the recruitment exam of Tripura State Cooperative Bank (TSCB) skidded off the National Highway in Assam’s Dima Hasao district in the wee hours on Thursday.
The youth, who died on spot, was identified as Debraj Debbarman of Dhalai district in Tripura, while the seven critically injured persons of the 30 on board were shifted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
The bus bearing registration number – AS 01 MC 0243 departed from Tripura for Guwahati, where the aspirants of the state of Tripura were supposed to sit for examination for recruitment in Tripura State Cooperative Bank. Reportedly, the bus skidded off the National Highway due to heavy rain.
