CM Dr Manik Saha calls for timely completion of developmental projects


Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting with the officers of various government departments here at Chief Minister’s War Room in the office of the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT) and called for timely completion of the developmental project works ensuring its quality.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister Dr Saha asked the District Magistrates of the state to be more responsible in implementation of the developmental schemes across the state.

Dr Saha also reviewed the issues of major projects implemented in the state including National Highway, Agartala-Airport road, infrastructural development of Mata Tripurasundari Temple, Maharaja Birchandra Manikya Modern Art Museum and Cultural Museum at Old Raj Bhavan, Vidyajyoti School, Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Vishwakarma Project.

The TIFT CEO Kiren Gitte presented detailed information about TIFT's current status and infrastructural issues. He said that a delegation of NITI Aayog had recently visited the state as part of the Tripura Institution for Transformation initiative, where the delegates have given green signal to open the first Tea Auction Center at Durgabari.

It was informed in the meeting that various innovative initiatives of the state government taken in public interest are being appreciated in various ways in the country. Among these, the state government's own 'Amar Sarkar' portal has been significantly appreciated.

The Chief Minister advised the concerned to prepare a list of significant developmental programs of the state government undertaken in public interest. The meeting also discussed the possible aspects of Tripura Institution for Transformation's work.
