CM Dr Manik Saha labels I.N.D.I alliance as ‘unholy’; appeals indigenous voters to trust on BJP

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday appealed to the voters of indigenous community people to keep trust in BJP and reject the ‘unholy’ Congress-CPI(M) alliance in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.

Addressing an election rally at Khmulwung in TTAADC, Dr Saha said, “Both the Congress and the CPI(M) party had exploited and used the indigenous community people as their vote bank and no development was made during the last 35 years.”

“People have understood the tactics of the Congress and CPI(M) and hence people started putting trust on the BJP, which is committed to bring development for the tribals in Tripura, who were deprived at large in the past,” Dr Saha said, adding that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sincerely working for the overall welfare of the indigenous people and protecting their rights.

Meanwhile, sharing the stage with the Chief Minister Dr Saha, the founder of TIPRA Motha party Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman launched a blazing attack on the former 5-time Chief Minister veteran Communist leader Manik Sarkar.

“Manik Sarkar, who kept on branding himself as the poorest Chief Minister in the country, deliberately kept the Tiprasas deprived of a better life, so that they can sell their votes in exchange of money,” Pradyot said.

In an ardent appeal to the indigenous population of Tripura, former Chief Minister and BJP candidate for West Tripura parliamentary constituency, Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday urged the indigenous voters to exercise their franchise for blooming Lotus flower, symbolizing BJP.

Deb criticized former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for allegedly exploiting the innocent ‘Tiprasa’ people as a mere vote bank, thereby depriving them of their rights and benefits.
