PM Narendra Modi launches development projects worth 5800 crore rupees in Mehsana, Gujarat


Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the Government is working relentlessly in each sector to make India a developed nation during Amrit Kal by 2047. He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various developmental projects worth over 5,900 crore rupees at Dabhoda in Mehsana district on Monday. Mr. Modi said, the foundation of India’s rapid development and worldwide appreciation of the country is the stable government with majority.

 The Prime Minister said a wide range of infrastructure projects inaugurated today will not only strengthen the connectivity and boost tourism in North Gujarat region and but will also lead to prosperity and wellbeing of the people.  He stated that the Government is now moving towards developing on clean energy sources, including the Solar energy, and biofuels. The North Gujarat region will play an important role in the emerging Green Hydrogen sector, added the Prime Minister. He remarked that the North Gujarat region which was once an arid region with lack of natural resources has now become one of the agriculturally prosperous and industrially developed region today.

 The Prime Minister said, the Government has ensured all the basic amenities including water, electricity, to each household in the region and now working to strengthening the dairy and agriculture allied sectors to enhance the income of farmers and cattle reares. He said over the past two decades, the Government has set up over 800 new village level dairies in Gujarat.

 The projects of multiple sectors like rail, road, drinking water and irrigation will benefit seven districts of North and central Gujarat. The  Prime Minister also launched the New Bhandu-New Sanand(N) section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor WDFC,  doubling project of Viramgam - Samakhiali rail line; Katosan Road- Bechraji Rail Project.

Mr Modi inaugurated projects for the recharge of various village lakes of Mehsana and Gandhinagar districts. Apart from this, Valasana barrage on Sabarmati river in Mehsana District; two schemes for providing drinking water, Banaskantha; and the Dharoi dam based Palanpur lifeline project was also launched today. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation Stone of irrigation project in Santrampur taluka of Mahisagar District; widening and strengthening of Naroda - Dehgam - Harsol - Dhansura Road, in Sabarkantha; projects for sewage treatment plants in Palanpur, Siddhpur, Bayad and Vadnagar in North Gujarat.
