Aryabhatta International University to be set up in North Tripura district: Sushanta


The council of ministers of the BJP-led coalition government on Tuesday proposed for setting up of Aryabhatta International University in the North Tripura district, said minister Sushanta Chowdhury.

Addressing a press conference to brief the cabinet decisions on Tuesday, the minister said that the cabinet has also decided to provide land to the authority of Aryabhatta.

Meanwhile, while briefing the other cabinet decisions on Tuesday evening minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, “The cabinet has decided to include 25 more schools under Mission Vidyajyoti in addition to the previous 100 schools. The decision has been taken up in view of the success of the Vidyajyoti project.”

“Aiming to wipe out the deprivation of the retired home guard volunteers in the state, the cabinet has decided for enhancement of the monthly pension of the retired home guard volunteers from Rs. Rs. 700/- to Rs. 2500/-. In addition to this, the cabinet on Tuesday also decided to hike the monthly allowance of the home guard on service by Rs. 1000,” he told reporters.

He said, “For infrastructural development of the Tripura Judicial Academy at Narshingarh the cabinet has given a nod for creation of 34 number of posts for the academy under the law department. The council of ministers has given an approval for filling up of 16 posts of election inspectors of Group-C non-gazetted by direct recruitment through TPSC.”

On the other hand, the cabinet also decided for enhancement of rate of boarding house stipend from existing Rs. 65 to Rs. 50. The minister further informed that the cabinet has decided to hike the monthly honorarium of the ASHA workers under the Health and Family Welfare department by Rs. 1000.
