CM Dr. Manik Saha inaugurates 12th biennial state conference of the 'Society of Pathologists, Microbiologists & Biochemists'


Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday attended the 12th biennial state conference of the 'Society of Pathologists, Microbiologists & Biochemists' at IMA House here at Agartala and said that there is a need for more awareness on the improved health care services of the state.

“Sometimes, a section of people directly go outside the state & spend huge amounts of money for treatment whereas the same treatment facility is available within our state,” Dr. Saha said.

He said, “Government has given top most priority in the elevation of the health care services of the state and especially working to ensure better health care facilities in the district hospitals of the state.”

The Chief Minister said that the state currently has advanced medical facilities and the government has emphasized on generating more awareness among the people about it.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder said that the government is working on various schemes to improve health services and infrastructure.
