CM Dr Manik Saha Inaugurates Dr. P.B. Das Memorial Health Council Building
Jul 01, 2025On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated the much-anticipated Dr. P.B. Das Memorial Health Council Building at Bidurkarta Chowmuhani in Agartala.
The new facility has been established in memory of the eminent physician Dr. Phanibhusan Das, who made significant contributions to healthcare in the state. The building is set to house seven health-related councils under one roof, a move aimed at improving administrative efficiency and service delivery within the Health Department.
“For a long time, efforts were underway to bring all health councils under a single administrative framework. Today, on this special occasion, that goal has been realized,” said the Chief Minister during the inauguration ceremony.
Officials from the Health Department and representatives from various medical councils attended the event. The building is expected to play a vital role in streamlining services and providing improved support to healthcare professionals across Tripura.
The initiative reflects the state government's commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and honoring the legacy of medical pioneers who have shaped the health sector in Tripura.
