Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw dedicates 254, 4G mobile towers to Nation in Arunachal Pradesh


Union Minister for Communications Ashwini Vaishnaw dedicated 254 '4G mobile towers' to the Nation in Arunachal Pradesh in presence of Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and others through virtual mode today, April 22.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Vaishnaw said that the importance of communication is not only connectivity but also opening the doors of opportunity related to it. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has targeted that each and every village in the country should be connected with high speed4G connectivity.

These 254 towers will provide 4G coverage in uncovered villages, thereby bringing digital connectivity to 336 villages, including several areas which have remained unconnected since Independence. Over 70 thousand subscribers are expected to be benefitted from this service. Centre has approved two thousand Six Hundred five 4G mobile towers for providing connectivity to more than 3 thousand 721 villages in Arunachal Pradesh.
