NIA conducts raids at 25 locations in Karnataka, Kerala and Bihar in PFI case


The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting searches at around 25 locations in Karnataka, Kerala and Bihar in connection with the (PFI) Popular Front of India Phulwarisharif case. Raids were conducted at places, including Belthangady, Puttur and Bantwal districts with the help of local police.

 More than thirteen people have been arrested in the case so far. The probe agency has conducted multiple searches in these states in the last one year. The case was filed last year in July, wherein persons accused of working for PFI were arrested as they gathered in Phulwarisharif area of Patna, Bihar. They were said to have gathered in the area for their terror training and to carry out acts of violence. In the month of February this year, three more were arrests were made in this case.
