Jishnu Dev Verma appointed as Governor of Telangana

The dynamic and Tripura’s former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma is appointed as the Govenror of Telangana.
The President of India on Saturday appointed Jishnu Dev Varma as the Governor of Telangana, while C P Radhakrishnan, who held additional charge of Telangana along with that of Jharkhand, was appointed as Governor of Maharashtra.
Responding to his appointment, Dev Verma thanked the President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He stated, “I sincerely thank Her Excellency President of India and The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for giving me an opportunity to serve the people as the Governor of Telangana.”
Tripura chief minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated Dev Varma for being appointed as the governor. “I would like to extend my wholehearted congratulations to former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma Ji, on his appointment as the Governor of Telangana…” Saha wrote on X.
“It is also a recognition for the people of my state -Tripura as this is the first time ,since Independence that a person from this state has been elevated to this post. I therefore thank both , once again on behalf of Tripura,” he wrote on his social media handle on Saturday night.
