No gift greater than blood donation exists: CM Dr. Manik Saha
Apr 18, 2023Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated a blood donation camp here at Agartala IGM and called for mass donation of blood so as to bridge the gap between the supply and demand here in the state.
The West District Committee of All Tripura Government Doctors' Association organized the camp here at the seminar hall of Dr. B. R Ambedkar Memorial Nursing School of IGM Hospital.
“It must be taken care that blood never goes wasted and that the supply of blood is maintained,” Dr. Saha said.
The Chief Minister said that to curb the gap between supply and demand of blood in the state, the government called for mass blood donation and accordingly the people of this state responded to it to maintain the humanity among themselves.
He lauded the initiative of the doctors’ body over organizing blood donation camps in every district of the state on Tuesday and called upon the people of this state and especially the youths to come forward in building a drug-free state.
He said, the state government has taken up a zero tolerance policy in curbing the drug menace in the state.
